Youth Ministries

The purpose of the TidalWave Youth Ministries is to develop students who will live godly lives that are contagious to others.

In order to do this we focus on five main objectives in the lives of students in the TIDE (grades 7 and 8) and the WAVE (grades 9 through 12): evangelism, worship, fellowship, discipleship and service.

What's an RSS Feed? Why Do I Need One?

Save clicks! Save time! An "RSS Feed" automatically lists the titles of all the podcasts on the church Web site - both the sermons and the departmental updates like this one. No need to click to specific pages to find the most recent sermon or podcast. The titles are listed in your browser (Mozilla or Internet Explorer) as soon as they are available for listening.

Click on the following link and when the Mozilla Web browser asks if you want to create an RSS feed on your toolbar - click "Yes." If you are using Internet Explorer, click on the yellow star with the green "plus" sign on it to add this feed to your "Favorites" list.

After this, you only need to click on that link on your browser's toolbar, or in your "Favorites," and you'll see a list of titles of podcasts and sermons, past and present, available from our church. They're all in one place with the most recent ones automatically included at the top of the list! Just click on a title to listen to it.

Thursday Night TidalWave
TidalWave meets each Thursday at 7:15 to 9 p.m. It is designed to help students connect with God and other people. The night includes passionate worship, a relevant message from God's Word that speaks to the needs of young people and Life Group (small group) discussion that allows students to interact with others about important life issues. Some Thursdays the focus is on outreach or service. The game room is open from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. and 9 to 9:30 p.m. New teens are always welcome.

Sunday Morning Pods
Pods meet at either 9 or 10:45 a.m. They are classes in six-week series designed to strengthen students in their faith in Jesus Christ by giving students a well-rounded view of life and truth about God. Jr. High students followed a prescribed path of learning, while Sr. High students have choices of topics. Teens are encouraged to attend one pod and one of the worship services at 9 or 10:45 a.m. or 6 p.m.

Bible Quizzing
Competitive Bible quizzing helps students grow through Scripture memorization. The quiz team practices on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. in Morningstar. Students compete against teams from other churches at monthly meets.

LifeGuards Ministry Teams
LifeGuard teams are TidalWave's student leadership and service teams. We strongly believe that teens should be involved in TidalWave leadership.

Camps, Retreats and Special Events
At times TidalWave goes on the road for special trips and events. These are designed to help students encounter God in a relevant and creative way and have a lot of fun in the process.
