Our Core student ministry will be taking short-term mission teams to Philadelphia and Haiti this summer. Read what they will do and who will be going.

Pray for the Lord’s direction for the Haiti Team that will be going to the island December 15 to 22 where they will be working in an orphanage, holding a Vacation Bible School, working in gardens and having formal Creole classes.

The primary goals are to train and equip students spiritually and clinically. The teaching focuses on Christ-centered biblically-based counseling with good clinical skill.

The “witch doctor” is very uneasy because he is getting old, weak and afraid for his life. He has spent his whole life putting curses on people and destroying people’s lives in the village. He is afraid that villagers would now begin seeking revenge for what he has done to them. So he enters the home and asks if this Jesus he was hearing about could protect him and forgive him for all he had done to people.

The Peru youth mission team recently returned from a very successful, first-time evangelism trip going up the Rio Masaray on the riverboat Evangelista II. Here is a photo gallery of their ministry.

At almost every stop in Volgograd we looked into the faces of the small children and teens and saw non-expressive eyes filled with sadness. We saw their eyes sparkle before we left after they received their CarePacks and gospel bead bracelets. They had happiness in their hearts and felt our love.

Short term ministries provide an opportunity to move out of our familiar contexts to gain several important benefits for discipleship. Teens on this short-term missions trip strove to live out the gospel as they formed genuine relationships with kids who were incredibly open to accepting their love and the love of Christ.
