As part of the promotion of this year’s topic, MOPS International announced a video contest about “everyday mama dramas.” Laurie Petersen, one of Hershey Free Church’s MOPS leaders, put together the video shown here for the contest.

Several MOPS moms gathered one afternoon in June to prepare a meal for the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey. Their “Recipe for Caring” was also a recipe for success.

Connect. Grow. Serve. Often these things go together, and sometimes in unexpected ways. This was the case in the church nursery recently when Julie Detweiler and LuAnn Selcher were assigned to work together in the “Creepers” nursery during Thursday-morning Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS). I love helping people organize and decorate their spaces so that they can utilize them better. I have been helping people do this for about four years and enjoy the end result.

On Thursday, January 6, MOPS moms heard about child safety from 4 members of the Dauphin County Sheriff’s Office including Hershey Free’s own Daine Arthur. The moms and kids then saw a demonstration by “Teka” of their canine unit.
