Did you ever receive a gift from someone and immediately think, “I have to buy them something in return.”? God’s gift of his son, Jesus, is given without strings attached. There is nothing we can humanly do to reciprocate. We can only accept Jesus into our hearts as our Savior.

As we closed out 1 Corinthians, we saw Paul challenging the church to a life of generosity — a generosity that intentionally reflects our commitment to live out the gospel.

So what will heaven be like? Are we to think in terms of angels, harps and clouds? As Paul talks about the resurrection, he gives us insight into the nature of heaven. In this message, we learned about the future, and we also learned how the future affects the present.
