Summertime is camp time, and our Treasure Park elementary ministry will be holding a Fine Arts Camp at church for 3rd through 6th grades on July 29 to August 2 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

My job in the elementary Sunday school is to present the “hook” to engage the kids in the lesson topic at the beginning of the class. Recently, the focus was on Jesus’ family, and ultimately a discussion of just who God chooses to be part of his family tree. I pulled out my Lego figures. We discussed who could be part of Jesus’ family tree as I added the figures to the rotating tree.
The week of August 12 we held 56 Band Camp for fifth- and sixth-graders who are going to lead worship in our new ministry for fourth through sixth grades.
