We offer a discipleship course for married couples that involves regular meetings in a group setting with other couples, reading and study assignments and “dates” written into the curriculum. It is our hope that this ministry will be a way to help couples please God in their marriages. These groups usually meet over an eight- or nine-month period from September through April or May. Other shorter-term couples groups also are offered to help couples strengthen their marriages.

A variety of activities are provided to help couples strengthen their marriages. These include couples groups, occasional marriage conferences and special “nights out” for couples such as a barn party. Teaching on healthy marriage relationships is provided through Adult Education …

Marriage counseling is available as part of the counseling ministry of Hershey Free Church. It is provided by the associate pastor for Pastoral Care, the pastor for Men’s Ministries and master’s-level student interns. Couples seeking to strengthen their marital and family relationships are matched with a trained lay couple. They will be guided through educational materials, and their mentors will serve as a resource for questions and a model of a Christian marriage. This ministry is designed to prepare couples for the covenant bond of marriage. A pastor or trained lay couple will meet with the couple to guide them through the study of materials that address issues identified as having an impact on the marital relationship.
