Children Lead Worship on Christmas Eve

DSC_1051

Hershey Free Church held a Christmas Eve service at 4 p.m. that was led by kids and was planned with kids in mind. The 56 Praise Band, consisting mainly of preteen musicians, led the congregation in several traditional Christmas carols. The preschool and elementary choirs enthusiastically sang their Christmas songs, bringing smiles to everyone in the congregation. Two students read the biblical account of Christ’s birth. Pastor George Davis gave a brief message on light overcoming darkness. The service ended with the singing of “Silent Night” by candlelight. The youngest children were given glow sticks so they could participate in bringing the light into the worship service.

Two more services followed at 6 and 8 p.m. to celebrate the birth of our Lord and set the tone for the family celebrations that followed that evening and on Christmas day.

The Children’s Worship service could not have been more wonderful! My whole family enjoyed it and it put us in the right mood for celebrating Christ’s birth at home too.
Thank you for an incredible Christmas!
