We welcome four people into our church membership: Marell Howie, Rose Hunking, and Dan and DeLynne Hahn. Marell Howie lives in Harrisburg and has two children, Sam and Teegan. She is a registered nurse and does medical record reviews for Executive Health Resources and attorneys. She also works in the cardiac ICU at Harrisburg Hospital. [...]

As of November 6, our church staff will be organized as shown below, with three “backbone ministries.” The changes in structure will help to create a staff culture that moves us toward greater collaboration and mobilization, as well as emphasizing the discipleship ministries of the church.

The Global Ministry Project Fund (GMPF) is a designated-giving opportunity and the funds are used for large initiatives by Hershey Free Church missionaries. The report contained in this post outlines grants totaling $205,450 that have been paid out in the first 10 months of 2011.

For the second year, Inclinator Company of America’s Harrisburg office has donated 50 boxes of Christmas gifts to be shipped to troops overseas.

Lately, we have been talking about what it means to do relational discipleship at the Hershey Free Church. Relational discipleship means a philosophical shift in ministry thinking and priorities.

Hershey Free’s own Kyle Hoffsmith, who is a junior at Millersville University, was speaker for the Core Middle School Retreat. He challenged students to consider their relationship with Jesus through the eyes of some “Wiseguys” from the Bible.
We are a church that wants to be a community where you will be welcomed as we help you grow in your faith and find opportunities to demonstrate God’s love through serving others.
